SUMMARY:Dover NHMARF Free Store
DESCRIPTION:NHMARF started in 2019 with a handful of people making a commitment to care for their community. They asked people in the community what they needed\, when they needed it most\, and where they could best meet up\, and then set up a free store. A free store is a pop-up space where people can freely share supplies\, in order for us all to survive and thrive. Since then\, we’ve expanded to host 5 free stores weekly across the state. Everyone is welcome at the free stores\, there are no barriers to entry. DESCRIPTION:Create your own custom block-printed tote bag! Participants will design and carve a personalized 4 x 6 linoleum block\, then use it to print a one-of-a-kind design onto a tote bag provided during class. You’ll be able to test carve using erasers\, and test print on scrap fabric before diving in. At the end of the workshop\, you’ll take your custom block home so you can continue printing at home!\nThis class is great for beginners and people who have tried block printing and want to re-learn the basic techniques. You’ll leave with a unique\, functional tote bag and a new creative skill to enjoy.
