The NH Community Media Group is a media directory and network for New Hampshire media creators. We believe that media has the potential to increase impact and exposure for local businesses, nonprofits, activists, advocates, and community leaders. We also believe that community members love supporting local organizations and community members by creating content that promotes them.

No. As of now, it costs nothing to be added to the directory. We may offer events, workshops, or additional benefits at some point in the future for an additional cost, but those will always be optional and prices made clear. Our goal is to build up as large of a directory as possible, to reflect as much media as possible. We do not want “smaller” creators to be deterred by membership fees.
We welcome media of all types. The definition of media covers all means of communication which have functions including informing, raising awareness, education, socialization, entertainment, and more including all kinds of oral, written, and visual images. Some media types we will include will be short form social media, blogs, newsletters, newspapers, magazines, books, film, TV, access TV, radio, podcasts, twitch streaming, music media, print media, and more. If you’re not sure if you would qualify, please apply anyways and we will let you know. We also want the media directory to include creatives such as producers, directors, video editors, graphic designers, etc. You may upload a portfolio or include social links for your professional skills in that case. We hope this will offer opportunities for collaboration and of course, paid gigs for local creatives.
Legislative hearings, fundraisers, business events, community events, town halls, nonprofit events, meetups, etc. Essentially any event can be submitted. Please try to include as much information as possible to describe the event and, for example, highlight important things going on in a legislative hearing or town hall. You can also request media; but please know that a request is not a guarantee that the event will be covered.
No, NH Community Media Group is non-partisan. However, content and creators are not non-partisan and may express any opinions and views in their respective media. Their views are theirs only, and we hope to have diverse perspectives represented in the directory which are representative of the diverse perspectives throughout the state itself.
NHCMG does not monitor all of the media made by the creators listed on an ongoing basis. We rely on the rest of the community to make us aware of any concerns. If we receive a “report,” we will review the content and reach out to the creator to either make edits or issue a “warning.” If this happens three times without edits being made, the creator will be removed from the directory.
Being honest doesn’t necessarily mean never being wrong or inaccurate, though we appreciate when you correct yourself when you realize you were mistaken or you misspoke. Being kind and respectful also doesn’t mean never getting angry or disagreeing. This group is guided by the freedom to share ideas and to build community through discourse and through media. Often times, we believe conflicts can be mediated through individuals and disagreements can lead to a deeper understanding and mutual respect.
